One day as I was praying
A presence did I feel
I knew within my spirit
This presence was quite real

And something deep inside me
Began to weep and wail
As God began to show me
The meaning of the nails

These nails were wide and awesome
How could I have conceived?
The pain my Lord did suffer
With each nail he received

The nails embedded deeply
Within the Lordís two palms
I sobbed to see this picture
But Jesus came to calm

His love came to embrace me
And softly he did say;
"These nails were but a moment
My Love Has Come to Stay."
