He was a devoted father
And successful businessman
She was a vivacious and spirited
Mother who loved her sons and tennis
It's been fourteen years since
Eleven hundred people filled a
Nearby church to say goodbye

Driving by their old house today
Brought back memories of Halloween
Parties and the smile that lit up Peggy's Face every Friday....
Her day for having her nails done and Tennis drills with friends

I wonder about their two sons who
Lost such wonderful parents
when they were only teenagers....
Wonder about
Her mother and dad....
So crushed by the news
Of Flight 800 crashing into the Atlantic

Friends and neighbors
Choose to remember
The pictures of Denny and Peggy
High atop the mountains in Vail....
Sun shining in the background as they
Prepared for another run down the black
Slopes near their condo in God's country

We pray that their current home
In God's heaven is even more majestic
Than the mountains they loved so much
Pray that Denny's poker games continue
And that Peggy still has that
Nail appointment every Friday

There's a beautiful stone memorial in
A quiet park to help friends remember
This terrific couple many of their neighbors
Have surely moved from the Trophy Club
Where they used to live....moved on
To new chapters in their lives
While holding fast to special times
With the Price's

There was a large American Flag waving
Near their porch as I drove by today
We miss you Denny and Peggy
God bless you now and forever.
