Nineteen days we waited
Each and every day we prayed
Living on pins and needles
Hoping you'd come home to stay

Each day like a giant roller coaster
Sometimes up and just as quickly down
Until the day you finally joined us
And our feet never touched the ground

Now, twenty-two years later
It's clear this was meant to be
Formed by His loving Spirit
You are a child of destiny

How special every kiss on your forehead....
Every smile that brightens our day....
This wonderful miracle from heaven....
The gift we can never repay.
