One day a man sat to ponder his life.
He felt tired, defeated and alone
He longed to find his freedom.
Determined—he set out.

Road after road he walked.
Tired, defeated and alone,
He cried out in despair.
As he cried, a man approached him.

“Sir, I have heard your pain,
Felt your sorrow, seen your tears."

The distraught man
Tired of his journey replied;
“You are but a simple carpenter
How than can you help me?”

“The road you seek, I know,”
replied the simple carpenter.
“For I have paved one,
that you might have the other.
Now stand and be on your way.
Where two roads converge
There you will find what you seek.”

As the man stood, he noticed
He was once again alone.
Continuing his journey
He took little note of the words spoken.

He was feeling tired, defeated and alone.
When he came upon a place
Where two roads converged.
There he found two signs.
One said “Calvary" the other “Recovery.”
Recalling the words spoken,
He wept.

"I have paved one,
that you might have the other."
