You're a treasure made of gold
That makes every school unique
It's a wonder to behold
How you care with such technique

In God's love your role is filled
As you tenderly do care
For the needs of every child
That comes looking for repair

And within a mother's heart
There's a peace to her you give
In your role as a school nurse
For your ways are curative

You're a gift wrapped up in gold
To the little hearts you mend
Who with tears inside their eyes
Bring their knees for you to tend

For they know with special care
Every hurt you do attend
With a band-aid and a smile
You're a very special friend

To the older child in school
You're as wise as mother hen
When they try to skip a class
Try to hang out in your pen

In your wisdom and your love
You hear all they have to say
To assess each story told
To decide what's real, what's play

In the higher grades you go
With a multi-facet role
For the issues that you face
Do require many goals

You're a counselor at times
You're a teacher when need be
But your role is truly served
When you heal those wounds unseen

Yes, within the hearts you touch
There's a magic truly dear
That you give to every child

         Every Day of Every Year.
