I love to feel
The ocean breeze
It cradles me with care

It's cool, gentle
and full of life
just listen, it will share

The songs of those
Who've gone before
Amidst this gentle breeze

And just like me
They too; have sat
And listened here with ease

I wonder if
They too; have heard
The words that I do hear

At times they're sad,
Sometimes they're glad,
But mostly they are dear

You see my friend
The wind does know
The lives that it does touch

For centuries
It's been around
It's learned of us quite much

The lovers who
Have come to park
Beside the dim seashore

Have whispered words
The wind has heard
Of love--and so much more

Of lover's spats
And fallen tears
A heart so filled with pain

Of secrets said
When thought alone
Released without restrain

Of gentle words
That move a heart
A love that has gone right

Of Moms and Dads
Who reconcile
Under the starry night

Of elders who
have come to sit
Reflecting on their past

A journey long
Commitment strong
And memories as vast

I love to feel
The ocean breeze
So pleasant on my skin

It passes by
With lullaby's
Of lives that once have been.
