Job Description |
|
Holistic nurses deal with the body-mind-spirit connection of the
human being. They use modalities such as: art therapy, acupressure,
animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, therapeutic touch, guided imagery,
massage, and relaxation therapy. The primary goal of holistic nursing is to look beyond the physical symptom to the emotional or spiritual roots of the problem.

Job Qualifications |
|
Holistic nurses are used in many healthcare practice settings,
in all capacities; LPNs, LVNs, RNs and ARNP. |

Certifications |
|
There are 2 types of holistic nurse certifications: |
|

HN-BC
(Holistic Nurse - Board Certified) |
|
|
|
AHN-BC (Advanced Holistic Nurse - Board Certified) |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The American Holistic Nurses' Certification Corporation (AHNCC),
is responsible for the development, administration and evaluation of the
Holistic Nurses' Certification. |
