Forensic nurses assist in the scientific investigation and
treatment of victims and perpetrators of abuse, violence, criminal activity,
sexual assault, and traumatic events.

Job Qualifications |
|
1 - 2 years experience as a registered nurse. Some
facilities will train you. After a year of experience a SANE certification
is required. Depending on the position (ie director) an advanced nursing
degree is required. |

Presently the SANE-A credential is available, a professional
international certification for sexual assault nurse examiners-adult/adolescent.
