 Tribute to
a Director of Nurses
This Tribute is dedicated to all the Director of Nurses that daily give so much to their nurses. May the Angels above watch over them and
and continue to grace them with skills of excellence.

|
|
In your role as Nursing Leader
There’s a special goal you share
With the Angels in the heavens
That advances nursing care
And this goal is greatly valued
For it serves in all you do;
Every standard and procedure,
Every patient interview,
Every leadership involvement,
Every team you motivate,
Every meeting that’s conducted,
Is a place to advocate
Advocate this goal within you
That is held in high esteem
By the Angels in the heavens
And on earth -- each nursing team
For there is no greater calling
Than protecting patient care
Than ensuring patient safety
It’s your passion & your prayer
It’s a calling that aspires
To promote high quality
One that clearly ensures healing
And reduces injury
It’s this call to patient safety
That is always on your mind
That you pass along to Nurses
And in turn touches mankind
Touches every soul admitted
Every human heart in pain
With the highest nursing standards
Through the nurses that you train
So within the gates of heaven
As a tribute to your call
Hangs a stethoscope of ivory
On a gold and crystal wall
And this wall is a reflection
Of your skills of leadership
Of your role of advocating
Of Your Perfect Guardianship.
